  • The Ojai Vineyard Santa Sauvignon Blanc McGinley Vineyard 2022

The Ojai Vineyard Santa Sauvignon Blanc McGinley Vineyard 2022

Winemaker Notes This wine is full of energy and mouthwatering zippiness. The aromas show that gravelly minerality which we love about this wine, and there’s an evocative inner perfume that gives scents of pineapple guava, melon, and mint. You find an elegant rounded entry on the palate, full of cooling juicy melon flavor. Then the wine tightens into notes of lime, white peach, and kiwi, with a refreshing tanginess that leaves mineral echoes and pithy citrus notes. Critical Acclaim Jeb Dunnuck Coming from a site in the Santa Ynez Valley, the light gold-hued 2021 Sauvignon Blanc McGinley Vineyard gives up a beautiful, clean, fruit-forward bouquet of ripe citrus, honeyed grapefruit, and peach, with just a touch of sappy herbs. It's balanced, medium-bodied, has integrated acidity, and is just one delicious, classy Sauvignon Blanc to enjoy over the coming couple of years.

  • Tolpuddle Chardonnay Coal 2021

    Tolpuddle Chardonnay Coal 2021

Winemaker Notes This wine is true to the Tolpuddle Vineyard Chardonnay style: fine and precise with firm acidity, and a combination of lightness of texture and intensity of flavor. This refined cool climate Chardonnay suits many different plates, but we find it to be a perfect match with pan-fried sea scallops.  Critical Acclaim Decanter A relaxed nose belies the seductive roll and swirl of a full and voluptuous fruit profile, and a cooler vintage brings a cohesive yet concentrated voice to a tightly-wound meld of flavours. A savoury edge allows minerality to shine, while vibrant energy that tremulously ripples along a lengthy acid spine will maintain the verve in this vintage for a long time. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate I was shocked at the intensity of the 2021 Chardonnay when I first tasted it. How could a wine so young have this much flavor? It is polished, glassy and graceful. It unfurls in the mouth and soars long over the horizon. It's balanced and powerful, crouching at this early stage, but all the building blocks of greatness are here. A wine of extension, expansion and elegance—a formidable trio. Best After 2022

  • Trippers & Askers Chardonnay The Root Of The Wind Donnachadh Vineyard 2021

Trippers & Askers Chardonnay The Root Of The Wind Donnachadh Vineyard 2021

The grapes go directly to press with no sulfur added and from the press the juice is moved to tank to cold settle for 48 hours before going to barrel on its fine lees. The barrels are 5 year old french barriques, a combination of Francois Freres, Damy, and Rousseau, including one Rousseau Puncheon (500L), so they provide a neutral vessel that is not imparting flavor or tannin, but the micro-oxygenation that the wine needs to develop. The wine was gently stirred once a month during primary fermentation. Malolactic fermentation completed late winter and then was sulfured around 30ppm. The wine was racked out of barrel into tank to settle over night to be bottled the following day. 11.7% abv.

    Trujillo Madelyn White Cuvee 2020

The 2020 Trujillo Madelyn White Wine Cuvée, named for his daughter Sophia Madelyn Trujillo, is a unique and rousing blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Gewurztraminer, along with a touch of Viognier, all sourced from cooler regions of Mendocino and Napa. Within its aromatic expressiveness, there are the subtle hints of orange blossom, honey, melon, and a hint of anise. The flavors are expressive: crisp, sweet pink grapefruit, melon, star fruit, and a touch of sweet Meyer lemon. This balanced wine knits together perfectly with its vibrant acidity and complementing minerality. It has a refreshing lift, with exhilarating brightness that generously rolls out to a lingering, delightful, and satisfying finish.

  • Tyrell's Hunter Valley Semillon 2019

    Tyrell's Hunter Valley Semillon 2019

Winemaker Notes Sourced from a small selection of our favourite Semillon blocks, the grapes were both hand and machine picked before gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine then spent a few months on yeast lees to gain extra complexity and mouth feel.

  • Weingut Jager Steinfeder Gruner Veltline 2022

Weingut Jager Steinfeder Gruner Veltline 2022

Jager is a 5th generation estate located in the incredibly picturesque hamlet of Weissenkirsch in the southern Wachau. It is a tiny, five-hectare estate comprised of some of the best vineyard sites in this appellation, including Klaus and Achleiten. The trellised vineyards run steeply along the Wachau, following her contours and turning in the direction in which she runs. The wines are usually fermented in stainless steel, except in the rare vintages where he has enough to fill an old, large oak barrel. Besides the fact that these wines are hallmark examples of the terroir in which they grow, they are less expensive than their more famous neighbors who produce wine in the same vineyards. Our only complaint is that there is not enough wine!
