On the palate, its enthralling acidity and great extract make a powerful impact upon entry. It then bursts with an explosion of delicious fruit: peach, attractive citrus notes and a lovely silkiness. The characteristic saline note of great wines made with this variety, which makes them so good with food, makes a clear appearance on the finish. A very seductive wine. The clean flavors of Albariño are very versatile and partner well with typical local dishes such as Galician style octopus or scallops. It is ideal with white meats and vegetables or seafood, clams, oysters and oven-baked fish.

Winemaker Notes In appearance, a pale green-hued yellow. Aromas of lime and exotic and white fruits with aniseed notes will burst forth from the glass. On the palate, this wine is ripe, rich and expressive with relatively low acidity. Expect citrus notes and a gingery , intense long finish with serious persistence. Pairs well with fish in a buttery sauce, seafood, and white meats especially veal.

The Origines wines are the testimony of the expression of a place in its most singular way, transcribed in the bottle with the sole influence of the Alsatian micro-climate. Selection of different predominantly granitic and marl-limestone plots on the steep and sunny terroirs of Niedermorschwihr, Katzenthal, Turckheim and Ingersheim. Harvested by hand, gentle pressing for six hours to preserve the aromatics of the grapes. Natural fermentation in hundred-year-old oak barrels. Jager is a 5th generation estate located in the incredibly picturesque hamlet of Weissenkirsch in the southern Wachau. It is a tiny, five-hectare estate comprised of some of the best vineyard sites in this appellation, including Klaus and Achleiten. The trellised vineyards run steeply along the Wachau, following her contours and turning in the direction in which she runs. The wines are usually fermented in stainless steel, except in the rare vintages where he has enough to fill an old, large oak barrel. Besides the fact that these wines are hallmark examples of the terroir in which they grow, they are less expensive than their more famous neighbors who produce wine in the same vineyards. Our only complaint is that there is not enough wine!

A round, mouth-filling, textured 2018 Blanc etc. offers almond croissant, sweet apple and nectarine flavors. Full in body, the 2018 presents a sense of weight, fine texture, a line of delightful acidity and a lengthy, savory finish. From the Pouilly-Fumé appellation but now labeled as Vin de France, this wine was known as Blanc de Pouilly-Fumé until 2017.
