A vibrant addition to the Nikka range, Days is a bright blend of malt and grain whiskies from both Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. Its medium body hosts an array of floral and zesty flavors, which mingle with vanilla-toffee and a light, distant touch of breezy peat smoke. A fresh and delicate whisky, Days makes a delicious sipping dram or sits beautifully in a refreshing highball.Nose is fresh and fruity, with white flowers, orange blossoms, pear and citrus. Palate is light and smooth. Cereals, malt, toffee, roasted nuts and vanilla. Finish shows dry apricot, malt, vanilla, and a wisp of peat.

Founded in 1823, Fukano Distillery is located in Hitoyoshi City, of the Kumamoto Prefecture of Japan on the island of Kyushu. Hitoyoshi is surrounded by mountains and is known for its pure water and nature. Shigeruriku Fukano is the fifth generation of his family to run the distillery. They use a combination of malted and un-malted rice to make their whisky in a pot still. These releases are very limited in nature and only a few casks are bottled each year. For 2016 they have released a few single new oak casks and also one white label marriage of sherry and new oak casks. Fukano Distillery makes a wonderful whisky that is sold in export markets only and is not to be considered as a Japanese Whisky.    It is a Whisky that is distilled, matured, and bottled in Japan.

This whisky was announced in November 2018 alongside three other limited edition expressions: Fukano Vault Reserve 1, Fukano Vault Reserve 2 and Fukano 6000. All four limited edition expressions are a combination of whiskies between the ages of 3 and 11 years old. Some of the whisky was first matured in casks and then moved over to be kept in different tanks for up to 16 years to rest. After tasting each tank individually, the brand created four different combinations from the tanks. This release is meant to celebrate the history of Hitoyoshi, Japan. The label art was created by local artist Junishi Oda. 1,200 bottles were produced globally and it is bottled at 40.4% ABV.
