采用云南省普洱茶区，生长在原始森林里的大树茶大叶种晒青毛茶，其海拔均在1600米以上，属南亚热带高原季风气候带，冬无严寒，夏无酷暑，一年只有旱湿雨季之分，雨量充沛，土地肥沃，有利于茶树的生长和养分积累，是普洱茶的主产区，其茶味霸气十足，香气独特。
本品采用传统工艺适度发酵，高温蒸压精制而成，极具香气纯高，汤色红浓鲜艳，滋味浓烈厚实，回甘生津，久泡有余香等特点。
