Sourced from small, family vineyards and aged for 24-30 months in the finest French oak barrique. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate A blend of two undisclosed vineyards, Fortunate Son's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon The Dreamer is darker, richer and warmer than the 2018 version, yet still balanced, delivering ripe black cherries, loamy earth and dried spices. It's medium to full-bodied, softly dusty and long on the finish.

Vineyard Notes: When it was planted in 1996, Kanzler was one of the first vineyards in the rolling hills southwest of the small picturesque town of Sebastopol in western Sonoma County. Only eight miles from the Pacific Ocean, the area was long thought to be too cool and foggy for grape growing.   FMW 96 Points: “This 2021 release is awesome!   The wine has a very supple mouthfeel and lush flavors of fresh blueberries and cherries with a hint of exotic spices.  A medium to full-bodied wine with fresh and bright flavors that are extremely well-balanced.  The tannins are fine-grained and silky and the finish is long and pleasant. This youngster will not disappoint!”

The Kistler Sonoma Mountain 2021 Chardonnay is of the same high quality as Kistler's single vineyard chardonnays but, through blending, they are able to create a high quality wine, with a consistent flavor profile. Rich, complex smoky aroma of perfect ripe fruit with a delicious noisette note, in a pleasing, Meursault-like style. In the mouth the wine is very delicious, displaying intense, fruit flavors underpinned with toasty oak and smoky flavors. Fruit sourced from core vineyards on Santa Rosa Rd corridor of Sta. Rita Hills. Ruby in color. Aromas of cedar, some earthy notes, darker and more brudding than the Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir. More fleshy, rich, ripe, more integrated with a soft mid-palate. Great acidity, great length and balance with fine tannins. Would of given another half point but the price held me back. --Trevor Loomis
