Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2008
The very deep, purple-black colored 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. It takes a fair amount of swirling to unlock an incredibly intense nose of dark chocolate, warm cassis, baked plums and Morello cherries plus touches of red roses, violets, pencil shavings, cinnamon stick and dusty soil with a hint of iron ore. The full-bodied palate is so exquisitely elegant, charged with electric black and red fruits and a firm frame of super-ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing very long and very perfumed. This is pure energy in a glass! - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Chateau PIchon Baron Longueville Pauillac 2013
"Solid, with ample iron and briar notes layering the dark currant and blackberry fruit flavors. Offers a sappy feel for the vintage, with brambly tannins holding the finish." - Wine Spectator"Dark red cherry, plum, spicecake and crushed flowers are some of the many notes that meld together in the 2013 Pichon Baron. Silky and resonant in the glass, the 2013 impresses for its texture and soft, enveloping personality. While there is plenty of early appeal, the 2013 has more than enough brightness and acidity to suggest it will age gracefully. The 2013 Pichon Baron brings together a classic sense of structure with a modern and very pure expression of fruit. The blend is 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Merlot." - Antonio Galloni

Domaine Santa Duc Les Quatre Terres Cotes du Rhone 2019
This wine incorporates grapes from the elite Cru appellations of Vacqueyras and Rasteau as well as Côtes-du-Rhône Villages sites in Roaix and Séguret. A piercing blackberry and bramble-scented blend of Grenache and Syrah sourced from limestone soils, it's an approachably fruity introduction to Santa Duc's majestic (and more expensive wines) but maintains a trademark vitality and finesse. Highlighting juicy cassis and plum flavors along with a zippy mineral finish, it's a delicately tannic red that should drink well through 2026. ---ANNA LEE C. IIJIMA

Continuum Sage Moutain Vineyard Red Napa Valley 2019
Deep ruby with concentrated black fruit aromas nearly overwhelmed by a substantial amount of new oak. Blackberry, cassis, black cherry, vanilla, cedar, pencil lead. In the mouth, the wine is out of balance, dominated by oak, clove and cedar. Surprisingly little tertiary character. This highly extracted wine suffers a bit from only medium acidity and the high tannins are a little green. The fruit is attractive.
