The very deep, purple-black colored 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. It takes a fair amount of swirling to unlock an incredibly intense nose of dark chocolate, warm cassis, baked plums and Morello cherries plus touches of red roses, violets, pencil shavings, cinnamon stick and dusty soil with a hint of iron ore. The full-bodied palate is so exquisitely elegant, charged with electric black and red fruits and a firm frame of super-ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing very long and very perfumed. Definitely ready to drink now. Opens more after an hour decanted. However full potential shows after 2. Good balance between sweetness, acid and tannins. Drink now or continue to age this brilliant wine from winemaker Chris Howell. Oh and the finish is Fabulous….long long long. We drank it without food but I have to imagine this superb vino with a Cowboy Ribeye would be nothing short of heaven!

Continuum Sage Moutain Vineyard Red Napa Valley 2019
Deep ruby with concentrated black fruit aromas nearly overwhelmed by a substantial amount of new oak. Blackberry, cassis, black cherry, vanilla, cedar, pencil lead. In the mouth, the wine is out of balance, dominated by oak, clove and cedar. Surprisingly little tertiary character. This highly extracted wine suffers a bit from only medium acidity and the high tannins are a little green. The fruit is attractive.
