Alice & Olivier de Moor Chablis Premier Cru Mont de Milieu 2018

Alice & Olivier de Moor Chablis Premier Cru Mont de Milieu 2018

With a touch of subtle effervescence, it starts with lively notes of crisp green apple, lemon curd, fennel, and notable hints of oil from tuna can or iron-like minerality. It showcases a truly unique and enjoyable character which I can say a pure Chablis. Nice wine, however, due to its rarity, it's very pricey though. --Youngrok Kim

  • Alto de Cantenac Brown Bordeaux Blanc 2016

Alto de Cantenac Brown Bordeaux Blanc 2016

Regular Bordeaux white wine, there is no classification for white wines in the Medoc region. This alto is a blend of 70% Sémillon added with the remainder of SB. Again a 4 star wine this one! Indeed with a super nose and fine body which has more greasy notes on top of the fruits, the wood, also fine spices and a great balance! Long lasting finish. Good & very decent wine from a well known chateau! Rate --Dries Thirion

James Suckling: 96 Points Extremely perfumed with rose aromas that turn to strawberries and citrus. Some stones, too. Full-bodied, yet reserved and ultra-refined. It goes on for minutes. Power with finesse. Try in 2022 but already a joy to taste.

  • Ayala No.14 Rose Champagne 2014

    Ayala No.14 Rose Champagne 2014

N° 14 is the third opus from the “COLLECTION AYALA,” a set of cuvees produced in limited quantities, unveiled only as they approach their peak level of drinkability. This ephemeral cuvee is 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir — including Grand Cru Aÿ red wine. Thanks to its extended ageing in the cellar and a low dosage of 5.3 grams/liter, N° 14 expertise, the ephemeral cuvée N°14 is composed of the five emblematic Grands Crus that form the backbone of the House’s blends. Caroline Latrive wanted to work the crus in equal proportions, exclusively from the 2014 vintage and for the first time in a rosé version.

  • Bernard Burgaud Cote Rotie Rhone 2019

Bernard Burgaud Cote Rotie Rhone 2019

Winemaker Notes These Côte-Rôtie vines include holdings in the Le Champin, Leyat, Côte Blonde, Les Moutonnes, La Brosse, Fongeant, and Le Champin lieux-dits. The vineyards are split between the steep inclines guarding the slopes above the town of Ampuis and the flat plateau, which has been planted since the 1960s. Critical Acclaim Jeb Dunnuck Closer in style to the 2018 than the 2017, the 2019 Cote Rotie is a big, rich, powerful Côte Rôtie that has loads of meaty, gamey black fruits, smoked herb, pepper, and chocolate-like aromas and flavors. With full-bodied richness, a round, layered texture, terrific tannins, and a great finish, it's a powerhouse yet traditional Côte Rôtie that will need 4-5 years to shed its baby fat yet evolve for 20+ years.Barrel Sample: 93-95 Decanter Very ripe, dark plum aromas with a touch of currant and cinnamon. It is dense and deep, with marked acidity for the vintage. A good sense of freshness, with some floral hints behind the ripe fruit. Not extracted, no heaviness – it's medium-bodied, but with impressive impact and detail. The wood is noticeable at this early stage, but it's well-judged and I think it will meld nicely into the wine with time. There’s precision, freshness and lightness of touch even though the fruit is very ripe. Impressive.

  • Blanc de Lynch-Bages Bordeaux 2018

    Blanc de Lynch-Bages Bordeaux 2018

Wine Critic Reviews: This wine has a lovely complexity with balance and lift and does that thing where it waits for a heartbeat, then makes you wait for a heartbeat, before releasing its stone fruit and succulent, slate-tinged citrus. The plots are on the west side of the appellation, often 1.5oC lower than at main Lynch Bages, with more limestone in the subsoils helping keep the balance that is evident here. Two thirds of the juice was fermented in barrels with one third in stainless steel – it’s juicy and pretty much ready to go (it bottles in two weeks). 50% new oak used. 3.08pH. • Bollinger La Grande Annee 2014

    Bollinger La Grande Annee 2014

Offering up complex aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit, confit citrus, frangipane, walnuts, dried white flowers and subtle hints of iodine, Bollinger's 2014 Brut La Grande Année is medium to full-bodied, pillowy and vinous, with an elegantly fleshy core of fruit that's underpinned by racy acids and complemented by a pretty pinpoint mousse. Concluding with a long, chalky finish, this is a charming but precise Grande Année that's more giving and demonstrative than its immediate predecessor, the 2012, but which attains a very similar level of quality in a more challenging vintage—testimony to the serious viticulture that underpins Bollinger's contemporary excellence. -- Robert Parker Wine Advocate

  • Carruades de Lafite Pauillac 2015

    Carruades de Lafite Pauillac 2015

Winemaker Notes Beautiful deep colour that sparkles in the glass. The nose is of course still very young, with primary notes of early ageing. Superb notes of spices and fresh raspberries. On the palate, the attack is supple and rounded. The wine then presents young, lively tannins, whose excellent quality will be revealed with time. The finish is complex and harmonious with beautiful burnt notes. This Carruades needs five to seven years to open up, and has all the characteristics of a wine that will continue to improve for many more.Blend: 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc Critical Acclaim JS94 James Suckling Lead-pencil aromas with currants and plums, too. Full body, silky tannins and a focused and very refined finish. It's the tannins that drive things. An excellent second wine of Lafite. Needs two or three years to soften. Start drinking in 2021. WE94 Wine Enthusiast This second wine of Lafite comes from young vines and wines selected during the blending. The result is a wine with the structure and nobility of the Lafite character but one that will age more quickly. It has great layers of black-currant fruits and acidity, with firm tannins as a background and rich potential. Drink from 2025.Cellar Selection

  • Ch La Gaffeliere St Emilion Grand Cru Bordeaux 2018

Ch La Gaffeliere St Emilion Grand Cru Bordeaux 2018

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 La Gaffeliere is a little closed to begin, slowly unfurling to offer peeks at notions of stewed red and black plums, mulberries and Morello cherries, plus hints of damp earth, tar and bouquet garni. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is tightly wound, delivering crunchy red and black fruits with an approachable texture of fine-grained tannin's and loads of freshness, finishing long with a lifted perfume. This is a refreshing, beautifully perfumed and skillfully crafted expression of the vintage. Give it 4-5 years in bottle and then enjoy it over the next 20 years+."Wine Enthusiast - “This estate is on a roll. Replete with powerful tannins and dense black fruits, this latest release continues the succession of fine vintages. Perfumed, ripe with berry flavors and, more importantly, with rich tannins, the wine will age impressively. Drink from 2027.  Cellar Selection”
