  • Chateau Larcis Ducasse Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2009

Chateau Larcis Ducasse Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2009

A complex set of aromas ranging from coffee to forest floor, herbs, licorice, blackberries, cassis and cherries all seem to jump from the glass, and then are joined by a hint of charcoal as well camphor. This is an impressive, full-bodied, dense, concentrated wine that is more up-front and approachable than the 2005 was at a similar stage, but it is remarkably expressive, full-bodied, dense and capable of lasting 20-25 years.Showing better from bottle than it did from barrel, this wine comes very close to equaling the prodigious 2005 that was produced by consultants Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt. Cropped at 25 hectoliters per hectare from the limestone hillsides of this terroir, the final blend was 81% Merlot and 19% Cabernet Franc that tipped the scales at 14.6% natural alcohol. It is a brilliant sample of wine, as this has long been one of the great terroirs of St.-Emilion, but under-exploited until nearly a decade ago. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, March 2012

  • Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac 2015

    Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac 2015

100 points Wine Enthusiast " This is a great vintage from Lafite. The profile is rich in feel, with a seriously firm tannic structure. Solid, complex and with great authority, this Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wine, is impressively dense in dark-fruit tones. It will age for many years. Drink from 2027, although that would almost be too soon. *Cellar Selection* (RV) " 99 points James Suckling "Lead and graphite are complemented by notes of blueberries and blackberries. Blackcurrants, too. Full-bodied and focused with very round and polished tannins. Elegance with power. Very classic nature for Lafite. Try in 2022. " This item only can pick up on MP/ARC store

  • Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac 1998

    Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac 1998

Winemaker Notes Chateau Lafite Rothschild was concerned that the rainy harvest might dash their high hopes founded with the early blossoming, dry spring and scorching August. That turned out not to be the case. There was no rainfall until the harvest had already begun. The grapes were thus moistened but not penetrated, so maybe they can consider that divine intervention. Once the first tanks had been worked, analyzed, and tasted, weary expressions changed to satisfied smiles. This vintage reflects the strength of our soil, with its deep colour and woody, fruity, and spicy palate. The "98" may be preserved for a very long time, and is rich and full with a silky and long finish. Blend: 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot Critical Acclaim RP98 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate A blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Merlot, this wine represents only 34% of Lafite's total harvest. In a less than perfect Medoc vintage, it has been spectacular since birth, putting on more weight and flesh over the last year. This opaque purple-colored 1998 is close to perfection. The spectacular nose of lead pencil, smoky, mineral, and black currant fruit soars majestically from the glass. The wine is elegant yet profoundly rich, revealing the essence of Lafite's character. The tannin is sweet, and the wine is spectacularly layered yet never heavy. The finish is sweet, super-rich, yet impeccably balanced and long (50+ seconds). Anticipated maturity: 2007-2035. • Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru Les Languettes 2018

Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru Les Languettes 2018

Winemaker Notes:  This wine has a delicate character with notes of butter, citrus, lime blossom, cinnamon and flint. This 2018 vintage has a well-defined bouquet with mineral, crushed stone, jasmine and yellow plum notes. The palate is well balanced and concentrated with long finish.CRITICAL ACCLAIMBurghound - "A restrained, cool and airy nose features notes of green apple, lemon rind and Chablis-like oyster shell nuances. There is reasonable mid-palate density to the delicious and vibrant middle weight flavors that brim with minerality on the lingering finish. This is still of course very young but it's somewhat one-dimensional and while more depth should certainly develop, it's hard to say how much. (90-92pts)"

  • Domaine de Vougeraie Le Clos Blanc de Vougeout Monolople 1er Cru

Domaine de Vougeraie Le Clos Blanc de Vougeout Monolople 1er Cru

Grand and evocative with an attractive complexity. The glass uncovers a bright golden core with a lively rim. Aromas are led by sun-kissed Amalfi lemon peel with layers of honeysuckle and mandarin blossom wrapped in citron, a hint of hazelnut, and spice. The mouthfeel is generous and multidimensional, showing layers of beeswax and chalky limestone with an uplifting acidity and a long finish. A wonderful wine that while clearly young shows incredible promise. Rich, elegant and complex, with good intensity, balance and length. Peach, Meyer lemon, slate, cream, honeysuckle and a hint of chamomile.
