Cold brewing tea, which uses cold water to brew tea, completely overturns the traditional tea-making method. The tea is often brewed with hot water in traditional, which is a way of slow life. But most young people feel it is "too complicated", "too many cups, bowls, like to perform a religious rite”. Now wherever you buy a bottle of mineral water, you can enjoy a nice and healthy cup of cold brewed tea.

Because the tea is brewed in ice water, the selection of tea is different from that of ordinary making tea. Tea suitable for cold brewing is mainly green tea, Japanese sencha, white tea, oolong tea (tie guan yin), black tea (like Ceylon tea, keemun black tea). The best water to make tea is pure water or spring water.

Brewing method:

The amount of tea is 25 percent more than the usual amount of hot water. You could use tea bag too. Normally 10 to 15 grams of tea requires 1,000 milliliters of water. Put the tea leaves at the bottom of the pot, pour in cold water and put in the fridge for 4-8 hours. If it's at room temperature, you can drink it in 2-3 hours. If you use a tea bag, it will be ready in about 1 hour.

If you like rich flavors, you can also add slices of lemon or lotus petals and mint leaves to cold brewed tea, which will definitely give you a different experience.

Special reminder:

  1. It is not recommended to drink cold brewed tea for more than 24 hours to prevent the growth of bacteria and deterioration of tea water from affecting health;
  2. People with weak spleen and stomach are not recommended to drink it. They can try to drink it without refrigeration.
  3. After the cold brewed tea is taken out of the refrigerator, it is recommended to drink it as soon as possible to ensure health and hygiene.

冷泡茶,即用冷水来冲泡茶叶,完全颠覆了传统泡茶方法。传统饮茶多以热开水来冲泡,是慢生活的一种方式。但是大多数年轻人一提到茶都感觉“太复杂”“那么多杯、碗、瓶、罐,感觉要布个阵,才能喝口茶”。而现在无论在哪里,只要买一瓶矿泉水,就可以享受到好喝又健康的冷泡茶。

冷泡茶因为是用冰水浸泡茶叶,所以对原料的选取与普通泡茶有所不同。比较适合冷泡的茶叶主要是绿茶、日本煎茶、白茶、乌龙茶(铁观音)、红茶。普洱和岩茶等黑茶因为工艺原因,不适合冷泡。泡茶的水最好是纯净水或者矿泉水。

 冲泡方式:

茶叶用量比平时热水冲泡要多25%,也可以用茶包。一般来说,10~15克茶叶需要用1000毫升水。茶叶入壶底后,冲入冷水,放入冰箱4-8小时。如果是放在室温条件下,2-3小时即可饮用,如果使用的茶包,1小时左右就泡好了。

喜欢丰富口味的朋友还可以在泡好的冷泡茶中加上几片柠檬片或者洛神花瓣、薄荷叶,绝对会给你带来不一样的体验。

 特别提醒:

  1. 超过24小时的冷泡茶不建议饮用,防止茶水滋生细菌和变质影响健康;
  2. 体寒、脾胃虚弱的人不建议喝饮用,可以尝试不冷藏直接饮用;
  3. 冷泡茶从冰箱取出后,建议尽快饮用,保证健康、卫生。
