    Aftermath Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

    Aftermath Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Winemaker Notes The 2015 Aftermath Cabernet Sauvignon is dark garnet in the glass. The nose opens with complex aromatics of blackberry, coffee, cedar and cloves, with a hint of graphite and crème caramel. The palate is soft and pleasing with ripe dark berries and stone fruits. Consistent with previous vintages, the finish is very long and lingering, with flavors of plum and mocha. The wine is medium to full bodied.

  • Aldo Conterno Barolo Bussia 2018

    Aldo Conterno Barolo Bussia 2018

Aldo Conterno Barolo Bussia 2018 Pleasant dried red berries, pressed flowers and some brazil nut on the nose. Medium-bodied with spicy fruit flavors. The tannins are more in the back seat this year and this gives the mid-palate quite an open-knit mouth-feel. Finishes a little tighter with good fruit and spice. Best after 2023.James Suckling | 93 JS A ripe style, this reveals macerated plum, cherry, spice, hay, tobacco and mineral flavors. This has an elegant feel, despite the dense, refined tannins, with a lasting mouthwatering impression. Best from 2025 through 2042. 1,250 cases made, 720 cases imported.Wine Spectator | 93 WS

  • Aldo Conterno Il Favot Langhe Nebbiolo 2019

Aldo Conterno Il Favot Langhe Nebbiolo 2019

Winemaker Notes The grapes used to make "Il Favot" come from vineyards which have undergone periodical implantations, and so have a maximum age of 15 years. The skin contact is limited to 6-8 days so to extract few tannins and more colour from the skins themselves, with the result of getting a well-coloured wine with a remarkable softness.

Alea Fina Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Bench 2017

Winemaker Notes This deep, garnet-hued wine reveals profoundly concentrated aromas and flavors of black cherry and blackcurrant, layered over classic Rutherford notes of cedar box, graphite, dust, earth, and a subtle suggestion of Portobello. A medium-bodied wine with gracefully refined tannins, this exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon culminates in an exceptionally long finish. Alejandro Bulgheroni Lithology Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Napa 2017 "Dark currants, chocolate, gravelly earth, and tobacco notes emerge from the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Lithology Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. It's deep, full-bodied, balanced, and just a stunning wine in every sense. I suspect it will show even more complexity in 3-4 years and cruise for two decades. This cuvée is a selection (from two blocks in the To Kalon Vineyard) that spent 21 months in just under 90% new French oak. 81 cases made." - Jeb Dunnuck

Alice & Olivier de Moor Chablis Premier Cru Mont de Milieu 2018

Alice & Olivier de Moor Chablis Premier Cru Mont de Milieu 2018

With a touch of subtle effervescence, it starts with lively notes of crisp green apple, lemon curd, fennel, and notable hints of oil from tuna can or iron-like minerality. It showcases a truly unique and enjoyable character which I can say a pure Chablis. Nice wine, however, due to its rarity, it's very pricey though. --Youngrok Kim

  • Alkina Kin Grenache 2021

    Alkina Kin Grenache 2021

The fruit for the 2021 Kin Grenache was grown on young bush vines (planted 2016) in schist-based soils across two blocks in the vineyard. Approximately 60% whole bunches went into the ferment. It was then fermented and matured in the same vessel—concrete tulips. In the mouth, the wine is very fine, stalky and pure, with freshening almost pulverized tannins; they’re like a clap of chalk—they’re everywhere. They’re structuring and they’re shapely and chewy in an excellent way, and the fruit is bright but not sweet. This is elegant and thrilling. Gorgeous. It is polarizing due to its febrile, nervous nature—but stylistically modern and forward thinking. Terroir-based wine here. There are notes of delicate orange blossom, green raspberries, rhubarb acidity, strawberry top and green apples threaded through the palate." Robert Parker 92 Points

    Alkina Polygon 3 Grenache 2019

    Alkina Polygon 3 Grenache 2019

Part of the Alkina Polygon series, which are their pinnacle wines drawn from tiny blocks, this one from only 200 vines. This is a beautifully stylish example of modern Barossa Grenache where complexity and detail are prized over raw power. Bright mid cherry red in colour, it is beautifully fragrant and draws you in quickly with its haunting aromas of mixed spice and charcuterie with an earthy, mineral quality with pretty reds fruits coming along for the ride. The palate is then quite understated, but with great drive and energy, delivering dark, savoury fruits with firmish but balanced tannins helping to support a lingering finish. It has not quite all come together and really probably needs at least a couple of years in bottle to really start hitting its straps.
