Deep really dark ruby colour with a stunning nose of rich ripe blackberry, plum, dark cherry and a bit of tobacco. Flavours much the same but the oak aging is superb, plus a little toasted smoky taste. Ultra smooth with a touch of softness and really bold full body texture that’s close to perfect. Overall, beautifully balanced, not overly dry and a great mouth feel. I’ve had the previous year vintage recently, this one is better.-
