清补凉瘦肉汤

原料
瘦肉250克(5两),清补凉配料1包
做法
1.把瘦肉放落滚水中煮5分钟,取出洗净。
2.洗净全部清补凉配料。
3.把适量的清水煲滚,放入全部材料,煲1-2小时,汤成,用盐、生抽适味即可。
功效
此汤清甜滋补,有去湿开胃,除痰健肺等温和清凉功效,特别适宜身体瘦弱虚不受补者饮用,是夏秋季节的合时汤水。

What it is:
A flavorful soup that can be enjoyed hot or cold year-round.
This classical tong sui (sweet) dessert soup (mandarin: Qing Bu Liang / Cantonese: Ching Bo Leung) is a traditional mixture of herbs cooked in a soup and enjoyed throughout China and Vietnam. Although the contents can vary depending on the method of preparation, the mixture generally consists of seven standard herbs: Dioscorea, lily bulb, dried polygonatum, fox nut, pearl barley, dried lotus seed, and dried longan. This soup is more than a tangy or sweet dessert, it is a health and beauty tonic that you can make your own. You might get creative and add the cooked Sweet Soup ingredients to cold coconut milk and add sliced fresh papaya, pear, pineapple or your choice. Good to satisfy a healthy sweet tooth.

Instructions:
Just add water and cook using one of three methods:
pressure cooker (takes about 20 minutes);
simmer on the stovetop for 1.5 – 2 hrs

There are variations of this recipe, made with pork or chicken. It can be served hot adding pungent toppings like scallions, pickled pepper, or radish. More often it is served cold as a sweet dessert either plain or by adding fruit such as apple or pear or lo han quo monk fruit during cooking. A stock can be added and simmered over low heat for two to three hours.

Dioscoreae yam root - digestive, precursor of progesterone, improves gut health and blood sugar 
Barley/semen coicis - astringent, used for bronchitis. 
Euryale Seed, Fox nuts, Lotus seed - antioxidant, anti-aging, anti- inflammatory, digestive, source of potassium to help regulate blood pressure, protects liver and heart
Lilii bulb - used for mild cardiac insufficiency, arrhythmias, urinary tract, infections, and kidney stones.
Solomon seal rhizome - cooling, cleansing
Dried Longan fruit - an excellent longevity tonic
