Classic left bank Bdx. Offering the classic impressions of cassis, graphite, vanilla, herbal tones. Very good. Med/med+ acidity and tannins. Entering its drink window, but still young at this point. Can age for another 10/15 yrs easily. -- Robinf

Château Maucaillou shows an aromatic power particularly subtle and fruity; with very ripe and concentrated flavors. You can taste a full-bodied and generous wine, with finesse and elegance, with an impressive length and a very good aging capacity.

Critical Acclaim

James Suckling
A firm wine with raspberry and cherry character and hints of lemon rind. Full to medium body, with slightly chewy tannins and an austere finish. Needs time to soften. Better in 2015.
