玉竹50克,沙参50克,老鸭1只,葱 生姜 味精 精盐适量。将老鸭宰杀后,除去毛和内脏,洗净放砂锅内,再将沙参、玉竹放入,加水适量,先用武火烧沸,再用文火焖煮1小时以上,使鸭肉粑烂,放入调料。饮汤,吃鸭肉。
Glehnia Root / Bei Sha San (8oz)
Derived from the root of the plant, glehnia is used in traditional medicine to treat bronchitis and fevers. It is also used in Asia to treat immune-related diseases. The taste is sweet, slightly bitter, and its effects are slightly cold (cooling) in nature. It enters the Lung and Stomach meridians.
Effects: It nourishes yin and clears away heat (anti-inflammation); it moisturizes the lungs and resolves phlegm, benefits the stomach and promotes fluids.
Indications: It is used for chronic cough of yin deficiency (fever or diabetes), tuberculosis cough with thick, yellow phlegm and bloody phlegm, dry cough with less phlegm, sore throat, and chronic thirst. It helps slow heaing wounds.
