This suave, polished wine starts off with aromas of black and red fruits, seasoned with black pepper, graphite, black olive, oregano and bay leaf. The acid-driven palate combines savory tones of soy, mushroom, coffee bean and dark chocolate with lush black-currant and blueberry fruit.
Aged 20 months in 70% new French oak, the deep ruby-purple colored 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature Viking Vineyard has very pretty, delicate scents of blackcurrant fruit, graphite, cedar and dried violets with loads of underlying nuances. The palate is full-bodied with dense, spicy fruits, a very ripe frame and seamless freshness, finishing long and layered. Give it a bit more time in bottle.
