Proposition 65 warnings advise of exposures to chemicals that may contribute to an individual's overall lifetime risk of cancer or risk of birth defects or other reproductive harm. If a warning is placed on a product label or posted or distributed at a workplace, a business, or in rental housing, the business issuing the warning is aware or believes that it is exposing individuals to one or more listed chemicals.
This money bag little tiger tea pet, crafted by Li Jingyi (daughter of Gu Yanxin), is a unique presence on the tea table. As an exquisite purple clay tea pet, it skillfully blends traditional purple clay craftsmanship, tea culture charm, and a cute style, making it perfect for both personal use and as a gift to convey sentiments, showcasing elegance in every way.
The money bag little tiger tea pet is based on the image of a cute little tiger with a round and lovely figure. Its open mouth adds a touch of playfulness. The stripes on the tiger's body have smooth and natural lines, and the brown-black color matching vividly restores the tiger's appearance. It is cute yet retains the tiger's majesty, fully demonstrating the designer's precise control over the form, with the unique texture of purple clay.
As a typical purple clay tea pet, its production process is in line with that of purple clay teapots, but its small size makes the craftsmanship more delicate. Li Jingyi shapes the little tiger's body through handcrafting techniques such as pinching, shaping, and carving, then uses tools like bamboo knives and steel needles to refine the features — the eyes are bright and piercing, as if staring ahead; the whiskers are distinct, with a strong sense of three-dimensionality; the textures on the body are delicate and realistic, resembling the texture of real hair. Some details are subtly crafted with indistinct lines, making the overall shape more vivid.
After forming, it is naturally air-dried for 1-2 days until semi-hard. Craftsmen carefully repair any possible cracks and polish the surface to ensure no defects. Then it is put into a kiln and fired at a high temperature of 1100-1200℃ for about 10 hours (the temperature is precisely adjusted according to the characteristics of the purple clay material), finally showing a warm and restrained color. Later, it is finely polished to make the surface of the tea pet feel smooth, with an inherent elegance without complicated decorations. Every step demonstrates the rigor and excellence of traditional purple clay craftsmanship.
It is made from high-quality purple clay ore (such as purple clay, vermilion clay, and Duan clay) from places like Huanglong Mountain in Yixing. The ore is weathered, crushed, sieved, then mixed with water and kneaded to remove impurities, resulting in a fine, uniform, and strong clay material. This purple clay has good air permeability and can absorb tea well — with daily pouring and nourishing during tea ceremonies, the tea pet will gradually change color, becoming more and more lustrous. From the initial warmth, it will gradually develop a mellow luster unique to its owner, becoming a "companion" that grows with the owner on the tea table.
The value of a purple clay tea pet lies in the process of "nurturing": it is both a decoration on the tea tray and an elegant item for tea lovers to play with, carrying a love for life and good wishes, and finally becoming a one-of-a-kind existence.
It comes with an exquisite gift box, which is a combination of dark blue and off-white, simple and elegant. The retro copper buckle design on the box adds a touch of classic charm. When the box is opened, the money bag little tiger tea pet is properly placed inside — whether it is given to a tea-loving friend to let them feel the beauty of the integration of purple clay craftsmanship and tea culture, or kept for personal collection to accompany you in daily tea ceremonies, it fully shows your sincerity and taste.
