The production of 2018 Jasmine White Bud Shengcha involves 13 meticulous steps: Fresh leaf picking → Withering → Kill-green → Rolling → Initial sun-drying → First scenting (mixing and steeping with jasmine flowers) → Cooling and ventilating → Separating flowers → Re-drying → Second scenting → Scent enhancement → Steaming and pressing into shape → Drying and aging.
The dry tea features plump and intact buds with abundant white hairs, dark green and oily luster, and tight, uniform shaping. The tea cake is moderately compressed with neat edges, emitting a unique aroma of aged tea intertwined with delicate jasmine fragrance.
The liquor is golden and transparent, crystal clear like amber, with a rich texture and oily sheen developed through aging.
It offers a rich and full-bodied taste, combining the fresh sweetness of Shengcha with the delicate fragrance of jasmine. Aged notes of wood and honey interweave for complex layers. The茶汤 is smooth and creamy, with a long-lasting sweet aftertaste and deep throat rhyme, leaving a lingering fragrance in the mouth. Highly resistant to infusions, it maintains good flavor for over 10 brews.
