The Féraud family has been making wine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape for generations, going back to the late 17th century. It was in 1987 that Laurence formed the Domaine Pegau, and they have since grown to be one of the appellation's benchmark traditional producers, known for expressive, deeply savory wines which emphasize Grenache and old-school Rhône character.

Cuvée Ella was a one-off bottling, created and named in honor of Laurence's granddaughter's birth in 2020. This extraordinary limited bottling of only 600 numbered bottles, is composed of 95% old-vine Grenache and 5% other Rhône varieties. The wine comes from parcels in La Crau, La Solitude and Les Bosquets, and was aged for 2 years in seasoned oak barrels.

Intensely perfumed with raspberry, black cherry and forest bramble fruits, layered with violets, lavender, thyme, the classic garrigue of the Rhône. Full-bodied and concentrated, the palate remains elegant and harmonious with velvet tannins thanks to those deep-rooted Grenache vines. This is an exceptionally rare and compelling expression of Pégau's commitment to old-vine Grenache.
