The production of Mingqian Ancient Tree Yellow Tea involves 12 precise steps: picking → fixing (kill-green) → cooling → initial rolling → first闷黄 (yellowing) → secondary rolling → second闷黄 → primary drying → shaping → final drying → screening → scenting.
The dry tea leaves feature intact, plump buds with a tight and straight shape, covered in abundant white hairs. The color presents a natural yellowish-green with a glossy sheen, exuding a fresh and pure aroma.
The liquor is clear and bright, displaying a transparent apricot-yellow hue, with a subtle golden glow under light.
The taste is fresh, mellow, and sweet, with a smooth and delicate texture. The liquor carries a faint honey-like sweetness and a lingering aftertaste, accompanied by a subtle fragrance of chestnut and floral notes. The tea is moderately resistant to infusions, maintaining its fresh and sweet flavor for multiple brews, with each infusion revealing a deeper layer of mellow richness.
