Tieguanyin, also known as Iron Buddha or Iron Goddess of Mercy, is considered a green oolong tea – a variation from the oolong tea family. This tea is made when the oolong processing is done in a shorter period of time. The result is a brew that’s more like a green tea in color with vegetal tones, but a mix of nutty fragrances that are present in most oolongs.
