Bodega Katxina Txakolina 2022
Made with the indigenous Hondarribi Zuri grape variety, this wonderful Txakoli (pronounced cha-co-li) is a brilliantly zesty example of this intriguing wine. Bodegas Katxina strive to produce the healthiest fruit possible with which to make clean, crisp and enjoyable wine. The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness in October and are pressed very gently to protect the delicate fruit characters of the grape. Following a cool fermentation the wine sits on it’s lees for 3 – 4 months at 4 degrees celsius helping to retain it’s gentle spritz. Super fresh, with lovely aromatics and crisp, zesty finish, this is a great aperitif style and also perfect for shellfish dishes.

Alta Mora Guardiola Etna Rosso Sicily 2016
Ruby red in color, this wine has spicy pepper aromas with notes of black currant and mountain herbs. The texture is vibrant and with soft, supple tannins, reminiscent of a great Pinot Noir. Critical Acclaim James Suckling From the moment you hang your nose in the glass, it’s clear that there are plenty of ripe plums, but not the slightest hint of prune character. However, there is a ton of subtle, herbal nuances in here, too. Powerful and concentrated with plenty of healthy tannins that carry the long, dry finish. Drink or hold. Jeb Dunnuck In the same mold, the 2016 Etna Rosso offers a rocking perfume of blueberries, wild strawberries, garrigue, and damp earth-like minerality. This incredibly perfumed, floral wine hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, a tight, focused texture, terrific purity, and a great finish. As with the 2015, it's not a massive wine and has an almost Pinot Noir-like elegance and weight. It's another singular effort to drink over the coming 5-7+ years.

Domaines Ott Clos Mireille Cotes de Provence Cru Classe 2022
Winemaker Notes The Clos Mireille Rosé is an expression of a blend of various grapes typical of the Côtes de Provence appellation: Grenache, the majority grape, chosen for its full-bodied texture, Cinsault for its well-known softness and Syrah for its fruity roundness. The wine is a very pale pink highlighted, depending on the vintage, with golden, orange and even vermilion tints. Its bouquet reveals fresh fruit (mango, melon) punctuated with lemony notes. On the palate, its freshness develops through citrus aromas around a resolutely mineral core before ending with a subtly persistent finish. Blend: 70% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 10% Rolle (Vermentino)

Chateau de Cugat Bordeaux Superieur 2016
A delicious blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon on a mixture of sand and gravel soil, much like parts of nearby Pomerol. Aged primarily in tank with a few barrel-lots thrown into the blend, this is a well balanced claret that is perfect for classic bistro fare. By far our biggest selling Bordeaux, this wine seriously overdelivers for its price! The Château de Cugat was constructed in the 1500's. Located in the small town of Blasimon, it stands upon a hill overlooking the village. The vineyards surround the Château, and are comprised of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc for red wines, and Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Muscadelle for white wines. Since the 2021 vintage, Château de Cugat has obtained the HVE 3 - High Environmental Value certification. The domaine is situated in the Entre-Deux-Mers, which is an appellation designated for strictly white wines; the red wines of the region are entitled to the appellation Bordeaux Contrôlée. If their yield is below a certain point and their alcohol level half a degree higher (12.5%), they are entitled to the appellation Bordeaux Supérieur Contrôlée.
