  • Chateau de Bligny Brut Grande Reserve Champagne

Chateau de Bligny Brut Grande Reserve Champagne

Winemaker Notes A deep golden robe underlined by a line of fine sparkling bubbles. A substantial, flowery (violet) nose, notes of white fruit, very ripe pear, creamy, slightly woody, mushrooms. A fine, dense structure, white fruit (peach, nectarine), gingerbread. An ample mouth and a wonderful length. Blend: 50% PInot Noir, 50% Chardonnay Critical Acclaim James Suckling A ripe and generous palate with stacks of stone fruit character (ripe apricot). I love the creaminess and fresh baguette richness on the mid-palate, the acidity easily balancing this. Long complete finish with good mineral tension.

  • Chateau de Cugat Bordeaux Superieur 2016

Chateau de Cugat Bordeaux Superieur 2016

A delicious blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon on a mixture of sand and gravel soil, much like parts of nearby Pomerol. Aged primarily in tank with a few barrel-lots thrown into the blend, this is a well balanced claret that is perfect for classic bistro fare. By far our biggest selling Bordeaux, this wine seriously overdelivers for its price! The Château de Cugat was constructed in the 1500's. Located in the small town of Blasimon, it stands upon a hill overlooking the village. The vineyards surround the Château, and are comprised of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc for red wines, and Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Muscadelle for white wines. Since the 2021 vintage, Château de Cugat has obtained the HVE 3 -  High Environmental Value certification.  The domaine is situated in the Entre-Deux-Mers, which is an appellation designated for strictly white wines; the red wines of the region are entitled to the appellation Bordeaux Contrôlée. If their yield is below a certain point and their alcohol level half a degree higher (12.5%), they are entitled to the appellation Bordeaux Supérieur Contrôlée.

  • Chateau de Pez Saint-Estephe 2019

    Chateau de Pez Saint-Estephe 2019

whow, opened too early, great left banker, soft and mellow, at the same time bold and rich. Classic Bordeaux blend flavors, medium intensity nose blackberry, blackcurrant & plum, delicately earthy, sweet tobacco and dried herbs, mouth follows nose, just maybe hint of dried plum, med+ acidity, med+ tannins and round plushy & smooth fruity medium length finish. Wine is developing, best wait few years and enjoy some more pronounced tertiary notes. Paired perfectly with reindeer steak 🥩, which was soft & tender. --Seba Stian

    Chateau Duhart Milon Pauillac 2009

97 points Jeb Dunnuck Talk about value, the 2009 Duhart-Milon is straight up sensational stuff. Made from 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot, it gives up classic notes of blackcurrants, pencil shavings, saddle leather and smoked herbs, it’s full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with fine tannin, impeccable balance and a great, great finish. It’s a heavenly bottle of wine that will compete with the best out there.

  • Chateau Faugeres St. Emilion Grand Cru 2018

Chateau Faugeres St. Emilion Grand Cru 2018

Winemaker Notes Our Merlot, particularly those on hillsides, behaved admirably this year. We must also pay tribute to the success of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc and their breathtaking aromatic radiance. Precise management of the harvest ensured that we retained freshness and crisp fruit. The dry summer months resulted in fairly small-sized grapes, and low yields meant that the fruit was naturally very concentrated. Dark and intense in colour with rather generous alcohol levels, opulent on the palate, with smooth, silky tannins. This is a powerful, concentrated, rich vintage. Sublime, sunny 2018 can be compared to the exceptional 2009 or even the great 2005.Blend: 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon

  • Chateau Fonplegade Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2014

Chateau Fonplegade Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2014

92-94 points Wine Enthusiast "While initially severe with chocolate and dark coffee flavors, ripe fruitiness comes through on the mid palate. It's full bodied and dense in tannins, but a solid wine showing the continuing development of this property. "

  • Chateau Giscours Margaux Bordaux

    Chateau Giscours Margaux Bordaux

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Tasted at the Château Giscours vertical, the 2005 Château Giscours is a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon and 38% Merlot picked between September 22 and October 6. Conspicuously deep in color, both the aromatics and palate replicate the strong performance from earlier this year. The bouquet offers very fine intensity with blackberry and cedar, here a tinge of cassis that becomes accentuated with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, slightly grainy tannin. It is very well balanced and almost Saint Julien in style. It is clearly very focused with a sustained, mineral-rich finish that (as I said before) contains real energy. This is an excellent Giscours that will age nicely over the next 20-25 years. Connoisseurs' Guide Just a bit different in its slight bows to mint and tar, but wholly on point otherwise with concentrated cassis-like notes and hints of dried violets, new leather and toasted vanilla beans, this wine is fairly full and rounded on the palate to start and follows with extracted flavors that a bit on the chewy side but are not overly burdened by youthful tannins. Time is very much on its side, and a wait of some five to eight years seems in order.
