信阳毛尖为中国传统十大名茶之一，产自河南信阳。此信阳毛尖产自信阳市云雾山，干茶颜色鲜润、干净，不含杂质，香气高雅、清新，味道鲜爽、醇香、回甘，从外形上看则匀整、鲜绿有光泽、白毫明显。外形细、圆、光、直、多白毫，色泽翠绿，冲后香高持久，滋味浓醇，回甘生津，汤色明亮清澈。
Fragrant, subtly floral, nutty and vegetal aromas that linger on the palate
Xinyang Mao Jian (信阳毛尖) is a famous, ancient green tea produced in Xinyang township of Henan Province. It is one of China's Top 10 Famous Teas (十大名茶) and has a history of more than 2300 years. Mao Jian means furry tips. The tea is small and needle-like, green with white furry strips on the inner side of the leaf.
The taste is classic small leaf green tea with a sweet and umami taste, the aroma is grass and pine, and the feeling in the mouth is thick and pungent. The tea is harvested in mid-April a period after the freezing temperatures of early spring, before the rains when the weather is just beginning to warm up.
