The Ojai Vineyard Santa Sauvignon Blanc McGinley Vineyard 2022
Winemaker Notes This wine is full of energy and mouthwatering zippiness. The aromas show that gravelly minerality which we love about this wine, and there’s an evocative inner perfume that gives scents of pineapple guava, melon, and mint. You find an elegant rounded entry on the palate, full of cooling juicy melon flavor. Then the wine tightens into notes of lime, white peach, and kiwi, with a refreshing tanginess that leaves mineral echoes and pithy citrus notes. Critical Acclaim Jeb Dunnuck Coming from a site in the Santa Ynez Valley, the light gold-hued 2021 Sauvignon Blanc McGinley Vineyard gives up a beautiful, clean, fruit-forward bouquet of ripe citrus, honeyed grapefruit, and peach, with just a touch of sappy herbs. It's balanced, medium-bodied, has integrated acidity, and is just one delicious, classy Sauvignon Blanc to enjoy over the coming couple of years.

Paul Lato "Seabiscuit" Zotovich Vineyard Pinot Noir Sta Rita Hills 2021
Jeb Dunnuck 96+ Points (2020): “Looking at the Sta. Rita Hills releases, the 2020 Pinot Noir Seabiscuit Zotovich Vineyard has a complex bouquet of spiced red berry fruits as well as forest floor, loamy earth, baking spices, and some sea-like brine and iron nuances. Beautiful on the palate, it’s tight, structured, and focused, with medium to full-bodied richness, present tannins, and a great finish. It needs a year or two, but this is brilliant juice.” Paul Lato Notes: “The 2021 Zotovich Pinot Noir is a delightful wine, showing bright red fruit flavors of cranberry and raspberry, with subtle notes of sandalwood. The palate is refined and zesty, with a lovely balance of fruit and acidity. The finish is long and complex, revealing additional layers of elegance and nuance. “

Felton Road Calvert Pinot Noir Central Otago 2020
Winemaker Notes Immediately bursting with characteristic Calvert florals that are supported by dark cherry, plum and allspice. Violets flow endlessly on a silk laden mid-palate that intensifies and firms in the normal Calvert manner. Refinement; precision; florality; deeply reflective: descriptors that commonly define this great site are respectfully amplified in this cooler and slower ripening vintage. Critical Acclaim Vinous The 2020 Pinot Noir Calvert may initially seem smooth and refined, but there's no escaping its sense of power; it packs a punch with its concentrated core and structured tannic frame. While you'll find cherry-like fruit and a floral lift, there's a distinctly savory edge to this vintage, which displays Worcestershire sauce, spice and fruitcake alongside herbal notes. It achieves a wonderful balance between the core of ripe fruit and the powerful structure. A Calvert has the brawn to age and will benefit from more time in bottle.

Domaine Henri Rebourseau Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2018
Jacques Rebourseau was a respected winemaker from Lugny. His son Claude Rebourseau settled in La Roche Vanneau in 1782. Modest farmers, they belonged to the hard-working rural class of the day involved in viticulture. They passed their passion for winemaking onto their children, one of whom was Jean-Baptiste Rebourseau. In 1919, the General Henri Rebourseau founded the domain on his father’s vineyards and he contributed to the growth of the estate for four generations. In 1955, his son Pierre took over the estate and tended it carefully until the eighties. Pierre Rebourseau handed over the management of the estate to his grandson Jean de Surrel in 1981. This was to be a significant turning point in the history of the Domaine. Jean de Surrel adopted organic winegrowing practices a biodynamic approach since 2012.

Chateau Meursault Clos du Chateau 2020
Informal mixed bag wine tasting event in Oslo. Not enough time for detailed tasting notes. Very good Bourgogne Blanc from Château du Meursault. The 2020 vintage for Bourgogne whites is a beauty. Ripe green fruit, yellow apple, peach and stone fruit. Soft citrus of lemon pith and light lime. Hint of tropical notes. Soft butter and light toast from barrel. Medium+ concentration, acidity and intensity. Long finish. Delicious Bourgogne Blanc, a little reserved, might need more time in a carafe or in the cellar. --Boris.Kingston

Esperance de Trotanoy Pomerol 2016
Château Trotanoy, bought by Jean-Pierre Moueix in 1953, has been considered one of the premier crus of Pomerol from the eighteenth century. Trotanoy is considered one of the best chateaus of Pomerol. Owner is Christian Moueix, who also owns renowned chateaus such as Hosanna, Latour à Pomerol and Bélair Monange. In the small appellation of Pomerol, Château Pétrus is perhaps the most famous, but many connoisseurs know by now that Trotanoy is just as impressive. An opinion shared by the American Robert Parker, who values Trotanoy extremely highly in recent years. Since 2009, a selection of gravel-based plots in the northeastern part of the estate has been dedicated to Espérance de Trotanoy, a wine that is fruity and approachable after only a few years of storage, but retains the depth, complexity and incredible concentration of flavor that are so characteristic for the unique terroir of Trotanoy.

Chateau Lynch Bages Pauillac Grand Cru 2012
Winemaker Notes Lynch-Bages is an intense red colour, while the aromas are a complex blend of black fruits, violet and pepper with subtle woody notes. The wine is balanced, combining aromatic elegance with fine tannins, and the first taste is full smooth and lively.. Blend: 71 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 26 % Merlot, 2 % Cabernet Franc, 1 % Petit Verdot Critical Acclaim Wine Enthusiast The wine is very dry, layered tannins giving a major sense of structure. It will always have this dry, dense character, very firm, solid and powerful. Barrel Sample: 93-95 Wine Spectator This has a very solid core of dark plum, crushed black currant and blackberry fruit, with lightly firm flesh and good drive through the finish, where alder and iron notes fill in. Shows excellent energy and depth, while harnessing the austere edge of the vintage. Best from 2018 through 2025.
