YJAR 2017, is really beyond the vintage, delivering a wonderful wine in such a challenging vintage. It has a deep bright garnet color. Its nose gracefully gets out of the glass with a complex, fragrant, and harmonious notion of black raspberries figs, spicy notes of star anise, cloves and green pepper, with a core of warm red and black currants and a touch of pencil lead and dark chocolate. Rich intense and medium to full-bodied wine with round and layered silky tannins with a polished mouthfeel than vibrates with the chalky texture and fresh intensity that gives its very long finish.

When drinking, the concentration explodes in mouth, fruits are accompanied with a rich terroir, soon followed by pepper, spices. Bordeaux tasting flight 5/1 A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Impressive wine with a fantastic nose of ripe dark fruits, cassis, vanilla, spice, espresso, fine cedar, full bodied on the palate, fantastic concentration with rich layers of beautifull ripe fruit flavors, noticeable but silky tannin, good acidity, delicious wine, still young with a long aftertaste !!!

A blockbuster gem and another Andy Erickson masterpiece. Dark cherry and some leather and with a nice earthiness undertone. Well structured and good tannic structure throughout. Just a great wine showing that great fruit from a great vineyard makes a difference.  --Winston Huh
