Peppermint contains menthol, which can freshen breath and has a variety of medicinal properties. It can relieve abdominal pain and gallbladder problems such as cramps. It also has antiseptic, diuretic, anti-phlegm, stomachic, and digestive effects. Drinking large amounts of peppermint tea can cause insomnia. But in small doses, it can improve sleep. 

Anti-inflammatory

2 grams of peppermint leaf, 5 grams of tea leaves, brewed in boiling water, treats “wind-heat empathize,” [feverish headaches, red eyes,] as well as abdominal distension.
