The Waters Ranch vineyard was originally planted in the late 90's by Jayson with the renowned vineyard manager David Abreu as the foundation for the Pahlmeyer Chardonnay program. The vineyard sits an an extreme elevation of 2200 feet in the Atlas Peak AVA making it one of Napa's highest situated vineyards.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eThe Winemaking here is traditional in style, allowing the grapes and terroir to speak for themselves. Entirely hand harvested before the sun even rises, sorted and pressed, then placed into French oak barrels (60% new) for the fermentation to begin. Later undergoing measured batonnage, the wine spends a total of 15 months aging on its lees before bottling entirely unfined and unfltered. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eThe wine flows out of the bottle a golden straw color and the aroma of ripe pineapple, yellow peach, tangerine peel come tumbling out with the liquid gold.
