Jean-Marc took over in the early 90's, continuing the family tradition while developing his reputation for precise, terroir-driven Chardonnay. Although Jean-Marc is most known for his Côte de beaune, he also sources grapes from a vineyard in the commune of Rully which is owned by a friend of his, who he served alongside in the military.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eLa Chaume is a sizeable lieu-dit in Rully, which produces a generous Chardonnay offering a balance of ripe orchard fruit and limestone derived minerality. The wine is entirely Chardonnay which is aged for 18 months in approximately 20% new French oak, also seeing some 2nd use barrels to soften the fruit. The result is a wine that is rounded and fruit driven, opening with ripe Meyer lemons, red apples and pears, which are followed by subtle peach and honesuckle aromas.
