Charlier et Fils is particularly know for their usage of large oak barrels across the whole range of their production, leading to their house style of power, structure, and opulence.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eSpecial Club bottlings represent a member's top expression of the given vintage. Aside from the rigorous self imposed quality standards a grower must observe, the presented wine must undergo 2 blind tasting that are headed by fellow club members and oenologists. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eThe 2015 is a blend of 70% Chardonnay and equal parts Pinot Noir, and Meunier, sourced from their oldest vines, averaging around 50 years. In the glass, this wine displays a luminous golden color with a fine mousse with the occasional bubble lazily meandering up. The nose is ripe mirabelle plums, citrus zests, toasted marzipan, and the classic brioche of Champagne. The palate is creamy, thanks to the mousse and oak aging, echoing the nose, and introducing an incredible mineral tinge.
