Grown on the limestone slopes of DAOU mountain, the wine reveals an intensely aromatic bouquet of black cherry, cassis, bramble fruits, lovely flowers such as violets and dried lavender, graphite all accented by notes of chocolate and espresso from extended aging in 100% new French Oak barrels. The palate walks the line between powerful depth and remarkably elegance, offering up flavors which echo the nose, while introducing tobacco and a distinctive mineral complexity framed by polished, fine grained tannins which gently coat the palate. The rich concentration leads to an exceptionally long, seamless finish. While built for long term cellaring, this bottle can be enjoyed now with a generous decant or being opened 12-18 hrs before consumption.
