With a particular affinity for Meunier (Formerly known as Pinot Meunier, but has since been discovered to not be related to the Pinot family) and its aromatic fruit-forward nature the domaine emphasizes freshness, and terroir. Meunier is the variety most grown in the Vallee de la Marne, however on clay soils it quickly loses complexity and acidity, those are generally used for cuvee wines to increase volume of production. However, Festigny has chalky Marl rich ( That's what makes a cliffs of Dover white!) which thankfully helps to retain those wonderful aromatic characteristics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eLP's Brut Nature is an exciting expression of Meunier, this wine being primarily composed of 95\/3\/2 Meunier, PN, Chardonnay. At 0g\/L, the wine's natural fruit and mineral character are allowed to shine through without the cushion of a dosage. Interestingly LP has employed a perpetual reserve since 2000, with that making up 50% of this cuvee alongside the 2021 vintage. The wine has orchard fruit aromas of peach, pears, with subtle a floral and flinty mineral character.
