Also known as twig tea or bocha, Kukicha is made out of the stems, stalks, and twigs. It is processed as a green tea and imparts a unique flavor and aroma compared to other teas due to it including parts of the plant that most other teas do not have. Regular Kukicha material comes from the production of Sencha or Matcha. Naturally low in caffeine, Kukicha is often steeped for three to four infusions.
