94 points Jeb Dunnuck  The 2017 Barolo Bussia has an inviting bouquet of dried apricot, crushed roses, leather, and ripe raspberry. Fresh with cranberry, dried orange peel, and bitter herbs, the palate has driving acidity to match its angular tannins and warming backbone. There is a lot to love in the lineup of 2017s from the Einaudi estate, and the Bussia is no exception to finish out the flight. Full and polished with chewy tannins.  (5/2021) 94 points Vinous  The 2017 Barolo Bussia is complex and ethereal in the glass. A whole range of floral and spiced notes give the Bussia its striking aromatic presence. Silky and harmonious, the Bussia is already very easy to enjoy. Even so, my impression is that the 2017 is holding back some of its potential. I would give it a few years in bottle. The long, persistent finish is a thing of beauty. There is a lot of wine here. On the palate, the wine is pure and elegant, with a core of bright, ripe acids and a long, complex finish.

This bright green-gold just off-dry Riesling has a delicate, irresistible nose, with passion fruit, white flowers, honeyed citrus, and dried honey moving in and out of the foreground, alternating with white peaches, pink grapefruit, lemon zest, and a fleeting suggestion of sweet wood smoke as the nose evolves in the glass. On the palate, the wine is a juicy explosion, shimmering with voltaic tension between delicate sweetness and electrifying apple and lime citric acidity. But you never notice sweetness or acidity separately. Pure green apple, white cranberry, tangerine, and stone fruit flavors, all seasoned with palpable saline minerality, lead to a long emphatic finish, with plenty of fresh acidity, depth, and cut.

It would be no exaggeration to say Weingut Keller consistently produce the finest dry Rieslings in the world, a fact proven year after year since Klaus-Peter Keller took over the reins from his father in 2001. Along with his wife Julia, Klaus-Peter has continued to prioritise the quality of dry wine produced at the estate, and these are now some of the most sought after and collected wines on the planet. While 85% of the estate consists of Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) sites, only a tiny proportion is labelled as such meaning there are great values to be had with their entry Trocken Riesling, along with the 'baby GG' Von der Fels. Richer and more spicy than in some vintages. There’s power in this wine that would probably be a Grosses Gewächs in the portfolio of most other producers. Classic left bank Bdx. Offering the classic impressions of cassis, graphite, vanilla, herbal tones. Very good. Med/med+ acidity and tannins. Entering its drink window, but still young at this point. Can age for another 10/15 yrs easily. -- Robinf Winemaker Notes Château Maucaillou shows an aromatic power particularly subtle and fruity; with very ripe and concentrated flavors. You can taste a full-bodied and generous wine, with finesse and elegance, with an impressive length and a very good aging capacity. Critical Acclaim James Suckling A firm wine with raspberry and cherry character and hints of lemon rind. Full to medium body, with slightly chewy tannins and an austere finish. Needs time to soften. Better in 2015.

Initially near terrible aromas of kidney and generally far from fresh tones. Really unpleasant start and takes some serious swirling to get rid off. After that some traditional volatile acidity appears and starts showing a fresher spectrum of aromas such as various red fruit and berries, sour cherry and earthy notes. Generally a darker style of Beujolais but still not having the complexity of the better Crus like Foillards Morgon etc. --Daniel L

Domaine Labruyère Moulin-a-Vent Coeur de Terroirs Vieilles Vignes is a selection of great terroirs of Domaine Labruyère, predominantly originated from granite soils rich in quartz. Made from 100% Gamay grapes which are all hand-picked, destemmed and passed over a double sorting table prior to fermentation. The wine is aged in oak barrels (3% new oak) for 13 months and bottled with slight filtration but no fining. Domaine Labruyère Moulin-a-Vent Coeur de Terroirs is a beautiful deep red colour with a nose rich with black fruits, liquorice, smoky and spicy notes. The palate is soft with notes of red fruits and a touch of black chocolate intermingled with very fine, spicy and refreshing tannins to finish.
