Greetings W Bar Friends!
We're giving up our wine this coming Thirsty Thursday in order to celebrate International Sake Day- officially October 1st - with a fantastic lineup of award-winning HIRO sake! HIRO Sake is made by the oldest kura (the Japanese term for brewery), the Taiyo Shuzo Brewery in Japan's Niigata Prefecture. This kura is OLD! It's been in operation since 1635.
The Brewery's history began in 1945 when a total of 14 local Kurd merged to form one company. This renowned brewery is an eleven-time Gold Medal winner at the largest and most acknowledged Sake competition in Japan, the National New Sake Awards.
Inspired by the ancient recipe of Hiroemon Takeda, the renowned Samurai and Sake connoisseur, HIRO is crafted by its own toji (master brewer) who adheres rigorously to traditional requirement for crafting Sake.
In fact, HIRO Sake is the new premium Sake that bridges the heritage of the past with the way we drink today.
Next Thursday, Come and meet Michelle Lusin, a HIRO brand ambassador who will mix a special Tokyo Sake Mule as a welcome cocktail before pouring you a spectacular lineup of Hiro Sake. Sake will be served with some delicious light bites from Chef Eugene to pair with! You don't want to miss this one, folks.
The Sakes will be available for purchase at special event pricing. Receive a Hiro Sake Mule mug or Hiro T-Shirt (upon availability) when you purchase any Hiro Sake during the event.
