The W Bar is delighted to ininvite you to an educational seminar and tasting of Aberlour - boutique, craft Scotch Whisky. Andy Weir -a native Scotsman - is the US Brand Lead for Aberlour Single Malt Scotch and former Global Brand Ambassador for Balvenie Scotch Whisky. Andy will introduce you to the exceptional range of Aberlour's Speyside Scotches.
Aberlour, established in 1879, is located in the magical heart of Speyside, along the town's eponymous river Spey. It is a small and intimiate distillery - for those in the know, it holds a special place in their hearts. For those who have never tried Aberlour, they will be won over!
All of Aberlour's single malts are made with the best local ingredients of barley and soft water from the nearby pink granite mountain, Ben Rinnes. The whiskies are usually matured for a minimum of 12 years in the finest hand-picked Oloroso Sherry butts and American Oak barrels. The double cask maturation subtly brings together the characteristics of each cask to create a truly rich and rewardingly complex range of single malts.
We'll kick off the event with a welcome Old-Fashioned cocktail and then move into a guided neat tasting of these very special whiskies. Whiskies will be paired with three different small plates courses!
